How to Remove an Account from Google Chrome

If you’re using Google Chrome, you may have multiple accounts saved on the browser. Sometimes, you may want to remove an account from Chrome if you’re no longer using it or if you’re sharing a computer with someone else. In this article, we’ll explain how to remove an account from Google Chrome using a step-by-step format that’s easy to follow.

Step 1: Open Google Chrome

Open the Google Chrome browser on your computer. Make sure you’re signed in to the account that you want to remove.

Step 2: Access the Settings Menu

Click on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the browser to open the Chrome menu. From there, select “Settings.”

Step 3: Access the People Menu

On the left-hand side of the Settings page, you’ll see a menu labeled “People.” Click on this menu to view a list of all the accounts that are currently saved in Chrome.

Step 4: Remove the Account

Find the account that you want to remove and hover your mouse over it. You’ll see three dots appear on the right-hand side of the account. Click on the dots and select “Remove This Person” from the drop-down menu.

Step 5: Confirm the Removal

A pop-up window will appear asking if you want to remove the account. Click on “Remove This Person” to confirm the removal.

Step 6: Sign Out of the Account

After you remove the account, make sure to sign out of it. Click on the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the browser and select “Sign Out” from the drop-down menu.

Step 7: Repeat for Additional Accounts

If you have multiple accounts saved in Chrome that you want to remove, repeat the steps above for each account.

Step 8: Close the Browser

After you’ve removed all the accounts that you want to remove, close the Chrome browser.
